Dame Ellen MacArthur and Cris Edgell launch the new skills-based cross-curricular Futures resources at the Association for Science Education Annual Conference, Reading 6 January 2011.
Delegates will engage with a new 27-hour cross-curricular skills-based topic on sustainability. In this topic pupils are challenged to rethink a sustainable future based on lessons learned from nature. In the four introductory units pupils learn how to use closed-loop systems thinking to explore key issues relating to waste, transport and climate change. Having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills, pupils embark on an extended project of their choice.
