Hosted by Dame Ellen MacArthur, over 150 students from 24 schools took part in the second of five hands-on workshops on the circular economy for young people.
During the day students rose to the challenge of re-thinking whether our current waste problem is in fact a materials opportunity, by exploring the possibilities of a systems level re-design in a world of finite resources and rising energy costs.
Volunteers from the Foundation’s Founding Partners, B&Q, BT & CISCO and National Grid were there to support the workshops, as key industry sector experts.

The workshop was a brilliant experience not only for the young people but also for us a business. It was inspiring to hear such positive ideas from 200 engaged people who will help us rethink the future.
