The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute hosted an event on June 9 to celebrate the world’s first ‘Cradle to Cradle Day’, which took place in San Francisco. The event was held as a celebration of the accomplishments of the Institute, and also provided the opportunity to share ideas on how to make further progress.
The day involved an on-stage discussion between William McDonough and Michael Braungart – co-authors of Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things – the first time they have spoken alongside one another in six years.
Proclaimed by San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee, Cradle to Cradle Day is a sign of growing governmental recognition and support for a restorative closed-loop economy.
Further details of the event will be posted here as they become available.
