H&M Hennes & Mauritz is a leading global fashion company with more than 3,600 H&M stores in 61 markets worldwide, and online shopping in 23 countries. H&M comprises six independent brands: H&M, COS, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday and & Other Stories, with a total of almost 4000 stores within the group.

As an Ellen MacArthur Foundation Global Partner, H&M sees a great opportunity to intensify its collaboration with the Foundation over the coming years, to explore further opportunities to apply circular economy principles across the organisation.

Focus Areas

H&M is working closely with the Foundation across the following focus areas:

  • Exploring solutions to create a closed loop for textiles, where unwanted clothes can be recycled into new ones
  • Applying circularity to its sustainability targets
  • Development of sustainable / circular stores
