Communications Manager, Systemic Initiatives
Role at the Foundation
Alix is the Communications Manager for Systemic Initiatives at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Communications is one of the Foundation’s five core areas, with the aim of communicating cutting-edge ideas and insight to audiences with the ability to accelerate the transition to a circular economy, at a global scale. The New Plastics Economy, the Foundation's first Systemic Initiative, is an ambitious three-year effort that brings together businesses, governments, NGOs, philanthropists, scientists and designers to create a more effective global system for plastics.
Before joining the Foundation, Alix worked in the communications team at McKinsey & Company and spent a year in Hanoi, Vietnam working with the Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Goethe Institute. She holds MAs in Culture, Politics and Management from City University in London and in International Legal Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. She speaks German, English and French.
