Role at the Foundation

Ian is an editor, working on content across the Foundation’s written output. He was previously an analyst on the teams preparing the Foundation’s reports 'The New Plastics Economy: Rethinking the future of plastics’ and ‘Delivering the Circular Economy - A Toolkit for Policymakers’.

Background

Before joining the Foundation, Ian worked briefly on business intelligence for Commonland, a Dutch foundation specialising in ecosystem restoration, and for eight years at McKinsey & Company. Here he specialised in carbon and energy economics, including climate change policy and conservation finance, and was a council member of the British Institute for Energy Economics. He has also worked for the Welsh Assembly government on agricultural and environmental economics, and as a trainee in the trade department of the European Commission. Ian studied economics at Durham University and carbon finance at the London Business School.
