Communications Executive, Systemic Initiatives
Role at the Foundation
Katie joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in 2018 and her role is Communications Executive for the Foundation’s Systemic Initiatives, which include the New Plastics Economy initiative, the Circular Fibres Initiative, and Cities and the Circular Economy for Food.
Before joining the Foundation, Katie completed an MSc in Business Management at the Royal Agricultural University and wrote her dissertation on food waste related to food and drink producing micro-businesses. Prior to this, Katie studied at Queen Mary University of London and completed a BA in French. She spent her Year Abroad in Paris where she worked for a press agency specialising in horseracing and has other experience in this industry.
Having spent a lot of her life visiting the island, while sailing and volunteering with the EMCT, Katie moved to Cowes at the beginning of 2018 and is enjoying settling in to island life. She is a keen sailor and is looking forward to taking advantage of gaining more sailing experience while being in Cowes
