Through the use of the unique patented Aikan Technology, it converts discarded organic resources into valuable biogas and fertilizer. This is achieved in a single work-flow. Aikan Technology integrates state-of-the-art anaerobic digestion (dry AD) with in-vessel composting (IVC).
Solum Gruppen delivers turnkey solutions and consulting services based on acquired know-how.
Aikan Technology has been fully implemented at one Danish plant owned and operated in cooperation with regional inter-municipal waste management companies.
The Danish facility has a yearly intake of 22,000 tonnes source-separated household waste and 5,500 tonnes garden waste collected in 8-10 municipalities. Yearly output is more than 1 million cubic meters of methane and more than 7,000 tonnes of compost.
Solum Gruppen aims to be a leading provider of know-how and turnkey solutions that integrate state-of-the-art anaerobic digestion (dry AD) with in-vessel composting (IVC) into a single robust work-flow. It is looking for partners that can help to scale up and integrate the Aikan Technology into conventional waste processing work-flows with major players in Europe and the US.
