Being one of the first enterprises to have realised a range of circular cases together with clients such as Philips, BAM or Bosch, Turntoo has built up substantial experience in developing circular economy solutions and in putting them into practice.
Turntoo’s pay-per-lux model, developed in cooperation with Philips Lighting, and a model developed with Bosch, offering washing machines on the basis of performance, have become iconic projects for the circular economy. Shifting the paradigm from one of selling appliances to delivering services has resulted in substantial savings in materials and energy and represents a new business model for the companies involved.
Turntoo is also active in real estate. The first building conceived as a raw materials depot was delivered in 2013. All building components of the modular-designed building are registered in a raw materials passport, including their destination in a second life.
Turntoo has the ambition to stay at the forefront of the circular economy, continuing to develop and realise breakthrough solutions which will inspire and accelerate the CE transition.
The company’s experience is in real estate, interiors, household appliances and lighting. However, as its client base broadens into hospitals, production facilities and retail, so, too, is its expertise. The company’s latest venture is as a provider of truly circular interiors, which closes the loop on every level.
Turntoo regards the necessary transformation as being a disruptive one, taking place on three levels: the design of products and supply chains;the financial and business models involved; and the mental transformation leading to a new way of thinking, which Turntoo regards as necessary to redefine business activities. With a multidisciplinary team, the company is active in all these fields, working with leading companies that wish to transform into regenerative businesses.
