Call for entries - New Designs for Circular Economy

Win up to £25k co-funding to design new products that make better use of resources.

The Technology Strategy Board, the UK’s Innovation Agency, has announced the second round of the feasibility studies competition New designs for a circular economy. This competition is intended to help companies work with new partners to radically rethink the design of products, components or systems to generate value by retaining or regenerating materials and components over several cycles of use.

Large companies can claim up to 65% of costs and SMEs up to 75% of costs. Sub-contracting within the UK is permitted where necessary to bring in relevant expertise, up to a limit of 75% of the total project costs. The second round of this competition opens on 11 February 2013, with a mandatory registration by noon 20 March 2013. The deadline for applications is noon 27 March 2013.
