Ken Webster at TEDx Loodusele

January 31, 2012

Ken Webster, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Head of Learning, presented at TEDx Loodusele in Estonia in October 2011.

In his talk, Ken explains how the end of the era of cheap fossil fuels and key materials, coupled with rising population and anxieties around water resources, food production and harmful wastes, demonstrates the need for rethinking our model of production and consumption, not merely patching it up.

Ken introduces the concept of the circular economy as a restorative alternative to our current linear economy, and a positive framework for economic progress.
