The series kicks off with Transforming the fashion industry, where Make Fashion Circular lead, Francois Souchet and programme manager, Laura Balmond will give their vision for a circular economy for fashion - one where products (apparel, footwear, and accessories) are used more, made to be made again, and made from safe and recycled or renewable inputs.

Episode Two - 22nd October

We’ll hear from the team behind the Jeans Redesign project, where over sixty brands have pledged to create circular jeans by May 2021, from guidelines set out by the Foundation and over 80 denim experts. We’ll explore the journey made from the brands, manufacturers, and mills making it happen.

Episode Three - 29th October

Guest speakers, Sara Erikson from H&M, Hack your Closets co-founder, Mikaela Larsell Ayesa, and Clothes Doctor CEO Lulu O’Connor will be joining us virtually in the studio to talk about Shaping the future of your wardrobe. We’ll be discussing what key customer trends are impacting the industry right now, what potential circular business models hold within the industry, and what the impact could be on our future wardrobes.

Episode Four - 5th November

We’ll be tackling the question, What materials can make fashion circular? Circular Systems, Ricardo Garay, Re:Newcell’s CEO - Patrik Lundstrom and Lenzing’s Head of Product Management - Caroline Ledl will be tuning in to explore new ways in which materials and processes can tackle the current environmental issues surrounding clothes production.

Episode Five - 12th November

The final session of the series is focused on Designing a circular economy for fashion and introduces the Foundation’s upcoming Circular Design Guide for Fashion book. Achieving the transition to a circular fashion industry will require unprecedented collaboration, and in this session we’ll be joined by WGSN Fashion’s Head of Textiles and Materials, Helen Palmer and Bureau Betak’s Alexandre de Betak to explore the importance of circular design.
