What is the DIF?

The DIF is an online platform which aims to shift mindsets and inspire action towards a circular economy. The DIF encourages people to share disruptive ideas and stories on a number of topics, with this year's focus being on Key Topics: Cities in Transition, Materials & Design and People in the Economy.

Taking place over three weeks at, the Festival attracts a worldwide audience, sparking critical conversations and participation through a combination of live interviews, films, and podcasts.

Speak at the DIF

The DIF team are looking for entrepreneurs, designers, educators, and other innovators who have a story to share, want to be challenged, and are keen to make connections. Create your own DIF session around an idea or innovation through a live DIF on Air session or by recording a DIF Film or Podcast.

DIF on Air - Online contributions and conversations started by innovators, designers, academics, startups and others, with new creative ideas from all over the world.

DIF Films - High-quality video productions created and delivered by the DIF team with contributions from designers, startups and other innovations from around the world.

DIF Podcasts - A professional quality podcast or series of podcasts which feature discussions or debate around a hot topic or set of topics.

- Watch DIF sessions online at, and put your questions and thought to the speakers.

- Stream DIF content via your website. Our content is open to put on your own platform, take a look at our step-by-step guide to sharing the DIF's video content.

- Organise your own live stream of the DIF. Gather a group of like-minded people and host a viewing session. The DIF 2018 schedule will be available from the beginning of October.
