The Aquafil Group is a recognised leader in nylon and synthetic fibre research and production and is the latest member to be welcomed to the CE100 programme. They will join other global textile corporations already in the group including Desso, Tarkett, H&M, and M&S who have all identified the opportunity of the circular economy for their industry business model.

With longstanding experience in the production and marketing of synthetic fibres, Aquafil has become the principal supplier to some of the leading Italian and European manufacturers of clothing, underwear and sportswear. Aquafil is also a key partner for carpet manufacturers with a 40% European market share operating within contract, automotive and residential markets.

In 2011 Aquafil developed the ECONYL® Regeneration System which is the world’s most efficient industrial system for the production of nylon 6 from PA6 pre and post consumer waste.
