The Circular Economy Show returns — with guest speakers from the World Bank and IKEA

January 25, 2021

We are excited to announce the return of The Circular Economy Show — where guest speakers join us live to discuss how circular economy solutions can be scaled, at speed, to tackle global challenges such as climate change, waste and pollution, and biodiversity loss.

The fortnightly show will be broadcast live at 15.00 GMT every other Tuesday on our YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter channels. Please subscribe to our channels and we will notify you when an episode goes live. Alternatively, put the next show directly in your diary using the ‘add to calendar’ button on the above-mentioned show page.

Join us live on 2nd February when the Foundation’s experts will be joined by Steven Schonberger, Regional Director, Sustainable Development for Europe and Central Asia at the World Bank, Roberta Dessì, Public Affairs at Inter IKEA, and POLITICO Europe journalist Eline Schaart, who will moderate the discussion.

The panel will discuss the Foundation’s paper, Universal circular economy policy goals: enabling the transition to scale, due to be released on 28th January — which provides a framework for policymakers and businesses to create a circular system based on five complementary policy goals. We will explore the importance of building sub-national, national, and international policy alignment to scale the transition.

In its first year, episodes and clips from the show were viewed almost 3 million times on our website and social media channels. We hope you will join us as more people tune in to watch the show and learn more about the circular economy.

Episode topics in the coming weeks will include upstream innovation, measuring circular economy performance at company level, financing the circular economy, and regenerative food production solutions to tackle climate change and biodiversity loss.

Join us live every fortnight to take part in the discussion or catch up on previous episodes on our website.
