We are delighted to announce the appointment of Wolfgang Blau as a Trustee. As Chief Operating Officer of global media company Condé Nast, Wolfgang brings a wealth of experience from across the global media landscape and a great understanding of the limitations our current global economy upholds. Already this year, Wolfgang has been successful in putting the topics of circular economy and climate change on the agenda of leaders globally, discussing redesigning growth in the fashion industry, and the role media companies have to play in tackling its issues.
Wolfgang oversees the Condé Nast companies in Asia, Europe, and Latin America, as well as various global functions of the company, such as Product and Technology, Data, Licensing, Delivery and Business Transformation, and Global Content Operations.
Wolfgang has previously served as Executive Director of Digital Strategy at The Guardian, and as Editor-in-Chief at Zeit Online — a position which won him Germany’s Chief Editor of the Year Award. Prior to that, he worked for several years in the San Francisco Bay Area as a Technology and Media reporter. Wolfgang will bring invaluable knowledge and new collaboration opportunities as a result of his vast network.
Wolfgang will join the Foundation’s three other trustees alongside Andrew Morlet - CEO, and Dame Ellen MacArthur - Founder and Chair of Trustees, in overseeing the Foundation’s mission to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
