MAVA - Fondation pour la Nature, founded in 1994 by Dr Luc Hoffman, is a family led philanthropic foundation, with a key focus on sustainable economy and the conservation of biodiversity.

As a Strategic Partner, MAVA enables the Ellen MacArthur Foundation to explore new areas of research and insight that will help accelerate the global transition to a circular economy.

This partnership builds on successful collaboration between the two organisations across several of the Foundation's projects including the Toolkit for Policymakers which provides tools and methods for a circular economy transformation; the New Plastics Economy initiative which focuses on building a plastics system that works; the Make Fashion Circular initiative which brings together leaders from across the fashion industry to stimulate collaboration and innovation; the Circular Design Guide, a free online resource; Circular Economy in Cities, a suite of online resources for urban policy makers; and an exploration of circular economy and industrial innovation opportunities in China.
