Francesca Brkic

Project Manager

Role at the Foundation

Francesca is a Manager within the Make Fashion Circular Initiative, which brings together key industry stakeholders to accelerate the transition to a circular economy for clothing. Francesca joined the Foundation in June 2019. Since then she has been focusing on business model innovation, clothing utilisation, and the role of investors in the fashion industry. Given her background, she is also passionate about regenerative practices and the economy's interlock with the natural environment.

Prior to joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Francesca worked in sustainable sourcing across key raw materials for The Body Shop, working with farmers and product designers all over the world. She also studied at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, researching regenerative agriculture and its role in the circular economy. Francesca has also worked in operations and sustainability consulting at Accenture, in climate change research at FEEM, and for a variety of NGOs in West Africa. Francesca tries to spend most of her free time travelling, being outdoors, meeting people, and learning about food.
