Manager New Plastics Economy Global Commitment

Role at the Foundation

Gerald is leading the programme for the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment, the leading global platform that unites businesses and governments behind a common vision to change how we produce, use, and reuse plastic, keeping it in our economies and out of our oceans.


During his first year at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation Gerald helped Global Partners with their journey towards circular economy and was project manager for the paper Artificial intelligence and circular economy, written together with Google and McKinsey. Before joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Gerald worked 11 years for ING Bank, of which five years were in the Sustainable Finance team. He designed and lead the ING Circular Economy program.
