Role at the Foundation

Michael is the Latin America Coordinator for Systemic Initiatives, catalysing the circular innovation and transforming key materials flows, through initiatives like, New Plastics Economy and Food Initiative. Michael works in collaboration with stakeholders from businesses, governments, and non-profits public and private sector to improve the transition from linear into circular economy in Latin America.


Before joining the Foundation, Michael worked as a research and project coordinator, in innovation and sustainability, working in businesses and consumer good industries (Unilever, Natura) in academy (University of Sao Paulo, University of Alberta and University of Coimbra), and non-profits (Akatu's Institute). Mike holds a Masters in Sustainable Business and competitiveness, and Undergrad in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He loves to establish new connections with people by travelling around the world and deep diving into new cultures.
