Role at the Foundation

Sarah leads the Cities Programme, which focuses on supporting city governments to accelerate the circular economy transition within their cities. Working with the Foundation’s regional teams, she aims to equip city leaders and change agents to implement the circular economy at the local level. Through showcasing demonstration projects, she mobilises key urban decision-makers towards ambitious policy action and systemic change.

Sarah is constantly evolving the programme, striving for the most catalytic activities and expanding the global reach.

Background

Before joining the Foundation, Sarah worked for a green economy NPO in Cape Town, South Africa working in the organisation’s industrial symbiosis and circular economy programmes. She is also a volunteer with the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN). Prior to this Sarah completed her chemical engineering degree at the University of Cape Town and spent two years in management consulting.

In her spare time, you can find Sarah walking one of the many coastal paths on the Island or enjoying a good glass of wine with friends.
