To thrive - not just survive, the fashion industry needs to radically redesign its operating model by transitioning to a circular system. This series of five Fashion Shows focuses on that circular system and highlights our three ambitions to Make Fashion Circular: ensuring fashion products are used more, are made to be made again, and are made from safe and recycled or renewable inputs.

The Fashion Shows will take place every Thursday at 12:00pm GMT from 15th October-12th November with episodes lasting 30-minutes. Each episode will feature hosts from the Make Fashion Circular team as well as guest speakers from across the fashion industry.

You can watch the show on the Foundation’s Youtube, Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter channels. Previous episodes are available on catch up.

The Jeans Redesign Project

When: Tuesday 22nd October 12:00pm GMT

Host: Rose Ely

Speaker: Chiara Catgiu

The Jeans Redesign creates solutions for a world where clothes never become waste. The guidelines, as set out by over 80 denim experts, establish the minimum requirements for the durability, material health, recyclability, and traceability of denim jeans. To date, over sixty leading brands, manufacturers, and fabric mills are using the Jeans Redesign Guidelines to produce jeans that will be available on the market by May 2021. In this session, we’ll hear from the MFC team working on the project. We’ll also talk to Jeans Redesign participants who are adopting the guidelines - and hear about their journey so far.
