In the context of environmental, economic and social linkages between Canada, Mexico and the United States, the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) facilitates effective cooperation and public participation to conserve, protect and enhance the North American environment. As part of its mandate, the CEC supports the transition to a circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature. by promoting sustainable supply chains and reducing electronic waste through regional collaboration, practical tools and policy solutions tailored to the electronics sector.
