This is an excellent opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our Legal team where you can develop your career utilising your legal skills in a highly professional environment supporting our mission-led organisation to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
Working autonomously and collaboratively within a small, flexible and responsive in-house legal team your work will cover negotiation, execution, management and administration of all contracts and other legal instruments, such as partnership, services, IP, technology and funding.
Specific role responsibilities include:
Working with our in-house Legal team to develop and maintain template contracts, licences and forms.
Negotiating contracts and licences with counterparties and managing internal liaison with legal, and other escalation and approval, where necessary.
Arranging and managing execution of contracts.
Maintaining a database of contracts and licences (with flags for notable events and expiries).
Participating in development of internal know-how and document database.
Your profile:
A law degree and/or postgraduate qualification in law is desirable, but not essential.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience of UK-based contract management and/or as a paralegal working on contracts, acting independently as lead/sole negotiator, albeit subject to oversight and management.
Experience in an international organisation would be preferable.
Experience facing counterparties in negotiations and of dealing with colleagues of varying seniority.
First-rate native English drafting skills (to a technical legal standard) are essential.
Solid contract law knowledge (i.e. fundamentals of contract formation, construction, execution formalities, etc.).
Ability to handle a sizeable workload in a fast-paced environment.

Salary range: circa £36,500 per annum depending upon experience.
