The Community Platform is the digital home for our Network, where thousands of people and organisations come together to learn and interact in meaningful ways, at scale.
Since 2022, we have been growing our Network’s Latin America footprint including several innovative businesses that have been built to eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials, and regenerate nature. The core responsibility of the Latin America Innovation Community Manager is to grow and activate this group of organizations and individuals to scale circular economy innovation in the Latin American region. This will involve mapping the regional innovation ecosystem, working directly with users (incentivising participation, understanding audience needs, bridging connections) and across all internal Foundation teams (building an audience, governing the user experience, optimising content, and helping to establish metrics and reporting to judge success).
Working across the Foundation’s Latin America and Network teams, we are looking for a curious and entrepreneurial individual who brings experience in managing online communities, executing audience engagement strategies, and nurturing innovation.
Role & Responsibilities:
Innovation Community development
Mapping the regional innovation ecosystem.
Building a robust pipeline of Latin American circular economy startups and SMEs.
Engaging key stakeholders such as investors and accelerators.
Occasionally speaking at key events to reach relevant audiences.
In collaboration with key internal stakeholders, support network development efforts to radically scale the number of Latin America-based professionals that we are able to reach and engage within multinational companies in our Network.
Drive engagement
Be the host of our digital home for Latin American users, welcoming them, starting conversations, and connecting users to relevant people and conversations.
Owning and building a pipeline of content for the ‘Latin America’ channel on the EMF online Community Platform.
Maximise Latin American user digital engagement by connecting users to relevant Foundation resources and leading the thinking of the development of community experiences for the regional audience (including content and language considerations).
In collaboration with the UK-based Community Manager and the Latin America-based Network team, coordinate the development and execution of a community engagement strategy for Latin American users (define objectives, develop roadmaps, and identify success indicators) and provide insights on development needs.
In collaboration with the UK-based Community Manager and the Latin America-based Network team, curate in person and online events to nurture and amplify innovative circular economy stories from Latin America.
Tracking and reporting progress
Gather user feedback and measure, analyse, and track community data regularly to understand community engagement and trends related to Latin American users.
Identify insights and stories to share with the Latin America Network team and Content team.
Your profile:
Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, and/or related fields.
4+ years of relationship or account management experience, working with global organisations and interacting day-to-day across all levels of seniority in the professional context
Experience engaging online communities through social media or digital platforms and planning and leading creative community initiatives
Experience in the innovation cycle: developing ideas to concepts to prototypes to scale products
Knowledge of how to develop data sets and experience with both qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques
Knowledge of the circular economy concept and ability to apply and communicate the fundamental ideas to a range of audiences is nice to have.
Willingness to travel internationally.
