The seven-week programme will take place online, from 6th October to 18th November 2021, and is open to anyone living or working on the African continent who would like to learn more about the circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature..
It includes weekly webinars led by the Foundation’s experts, with guest speakers from Africa and beyond, plus reflection and networking sessions. It’s an interactive programme, with peer-to-peer learning as a key element — and the opportunity to join a community of circular economy enthusiasts on the African continent.
Every week, we will discuss a different topic focused on the circular economy in Africa, ranging from food systems, policy, and design, to finance, plastics, and fashion.
