An all too familiar story is told about our data and how various organisations are capturing it, harvesting it, and using it in ways to influence us - some positive, but many perceived as negative. What does a more hopeful vision of a data dominated world look like? Mara Balestrini is an expert on this topic. She works as a Human-Computer-Interaction researcher, and founded an organisation devoted to the issue called Ideas for Change.
