Primark first became a member of the Make Fashion Circular initiative in 2018, subsequently becoming a partner with the Foundation in 2021. 

As part of its circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature. work, Primark is involved in the Foundation's key strategic project:

  • Fashion Initiative - an initiative which brings together key industry stakeholders and thought leaders to create a circular economy for textiles, starting with clothing.

Primark participated in:

  • The Jeans Redesign (2019-2023) - an industry collaboration that designed and made jeans that are used more, made to be made again, and made from safe and recycled or renewable inputs.
