The Circular Economy Show Podcast, the Foundation’s podcast, has recently secured a spot on the Official Shortlist for the 13th Annual Lovie Awards, confirming its position as a frontrunner in the podcasting world.

In a dual nomination, the podcast has been shortlisted in two categories: “Best Limited Series” for the Redesigning Food Series and the “Sustainability & Environment in Podcast” category.

The Lovie Awards celebrate creativity, innovation and storytelling in European digital media. Now in its 13th year, the awards received submissions from 30 countries. Making the Official Shortlist means the Circular Economy Show Podcast is among the top rated 17% of the entries.

“The Circular Economy Show Podcast has excelled in its category, showing fantastic prowess in digital innovation and creativity,” said Nicolas Roope, Executive Chair of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS). “This award is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators.”

Launched earlier this year in the build-up to the Big Food Redesign Challenge, the Redesigning Food series explores how our food can be designed for nature to thrive. Guided by host Pippa Shawley, and the Foundation’s Food Lead, Reniera O’Donnell, the five-part series takes us through the food system to envisage a future that’s good for people, farmers, nature and business. Guests included Dr. Catherine Chong, whose devastating personal experience of industrialised farming drove her to find alternative solutions; Hollie Fallick, a former vegan who’s made it her mission to farm beef regeneratively; and Mikel Hancock, Walmart’s Senior Director for Sustainability Initiatives about the role of big business in transitioning to a nature-positive food system.

Beyond the food series, the Circular Economy Show Podcast explores the many dimensions of what a circular economy means and meets the people making it happen. Each week, our hosts are joined by experts from across industry, governments and academia to learn more about how the circular economy is being developed and scaled.  This year the podcast has featured interviews with Earthshot Prize-winners and packaging company NotPla, the artist Es Devlin, and BIOHM, whose founder explained how we might soon be able to grow our own buildings!
