In the lead up to COP 26, more and more companies and organisations are coming together to discuss how they can have a positive impact on the environment and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. In this episode of The Circular EconomyCircular EconomyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature. Show, we will be exploring how circular economy practices can contribute to meeting companies’ climate targets. We will be joined by Chad Frischmann from Project Drawdown, who will provide insights into the solutions to climate change that most of us don’t talk about. Spoiler alert: they include, but go beyond renewable transition, to cover broader social, technological, and economic transformations. We will also be speaking to Laura Vicaria from MUD Jeans about the company’s circular business model and to James Lundström from Volvo Cars about the circular economy solutions that the automotive manufacturer has adopted to address its climate impacts.
