Circular design is a key enabler in the transition to a circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature.. It provides the opportunity to rethink how products are made and systems can be designed. But who are the designers leading this transition? In this episode, we will be joined by Anne Asensio and Sean Carney. Anne is the Head of Design at Dassault Systemes and she will talk us through what she has learnt working at many large companies and what advice she’d give to young designers out there. Sean is the Chief Design Officer at Philips, and he will outline what circular design means to him and showcase examples of Philip's journey to circularity so far.
